Legendary St Ives skater, surfer, lifeguard and ludicrously fit Liverpudlian Stef Harkon calls me in distress. He has just seen tonight's 1-0 annihilation of Aston Villa by my beloved QPR, and fears that his own football team, one which plays in Liverpool in a red kit, will not be able to cope should they be drawn against the Rs in the fourth round of the Carling Cup.
"Relax," I say, "football is only a game. It doesn't matter if you lose to us, especially since we both live down here in the far west where the only real threat to our peaceful surf-obsessed lives is the occasional ASBO-wielding policeman."
Harkon seems only mildly comforted and so, to cheer him up, here is a wonderful piece of footage featuring a former QPR star, Sir Les Ferdinand. Trust me, I say to him, it's comedy genius.
ha ha ha !! give QPR two hopes against the reds , BOB HOPE and NO HOPE!!see you out the back.
