A month ago I went to the dentist to get a bit of descale. A routine check-up revealed that I needed a filling. I wasn't in any pain, but the dentist brandished an incomprehensible X-Ray and so I consented to treatment.
A month later and I've lost sleep owing to the pain, both in the tooth and in the gums around it, which the dentist injected a total of four times. I'm told that the tooth might need to be removed.
Is it me, or is there something wrong when you go to see a medical professional feeling absolutely fine, and end up a few weeks later in pain and spending loads of money?
